Police say that a sudden death investigation in Reindeer Lake is now being treated as a homicide.
Southend RCMP first responded to the complaint of an unresponsive man on September 1. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Police launched an investigation with the help of the RCMP Major Crime Unit – North and the Office of the Chief Coroner.
The shift to a homicide investigation follows an autopsy of the victim, a 33 year old from Southend. The investigation is ongoing. Police are asking anyone with information to call the Southend RCMP at 306-758-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
