A Paddockwood man facing murder charges for a 2016 death near Christopher Lake is back in custody, after his bail was revoked.

Ryan Clark appeared by video in Prince Albert’s provincial courthouse on Tuesday. He is facing a new charge for violating his bail conditions. Crown prosecutor Jeff Lubyk said Clark breached a condition requiring him to abstain from alcohol.

Since Clark is facing a murder charge, he cannot be released without a new bail hearing before the Court of Queen’s Bench, which weighs in on the most serious cases. The first time that court can hear his case is August 29, Lubyk said.

Clark was arrested in March in connection with the death of Chris Durocher, who was found in a camping trailer near Christopher Lake in October 2016.
