Fentanyl and cocaine among drugs seized in Thursday evening drug raid

Two people are in custody facing charges of drug trafficking after an Integrated Street Enforcement Team (ISET) raid Thursday night.

According to a press release, two search warrants were executed on Dec. 13, one in the 2600 block of Sixth Avenue East and one in the 500 block of 21st Street East.

Officers seized 10 ounces (282 grams) of cocaine, along with 8.56 grams of MDMA, two 30 mg capsules of hydromorphone, a user amount of codeine 3.71 grams of methamphetamine and one 25 micrograms per hour fentanyl patch.

ISET also seized $26,860 in cash and materials used for drug trafficking.

A 33-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman have been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, as well as possession of fentanyl, codeine, hydromorphone and MDA, and possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000.

Both were due in court for a first appearance Friday.

ISET is made up of members of the Prince Albert Police Service and the RCMP.
