Top ten finish for Amyotte at high school cross country provincials

Jolynn Amyotte led the way for local runners at Saturday’s provincial high school cross country running championship in Delisle.

The Carlton Crusaders athlete was the highest finishing competitor for her school as she came home in seventh place in the junior girls event.

Hannah Walker nabbed an 11th place result in the senior girls race, while Hayden Cable (senior boys) and Kaydence Pellerin (midget girls) finished in 58th and 102nd place respectively.

Of the eight runners representing the St. Mary Marauders, Seth LeMoal led the way with a 26th place finish in the junior boys race, while Samantha Monette finished in 29th spot in the senior girls event.

Also representing the school were Gabby Charles (midget girls – 60th), Jesse Harkness (midget girls – 88th), Hailey Rocheleau (junior girls – 59th), Steven Krip (junior boys – 42nd), Keely O’Brien (senior girls – 78th) and Stacey Hein (senior girls – 96th).

Eryn Kielo of Delisle (midget girls), Matthew Finley of Walter Murray in Saskatoon (midget boys), Jenna McFadyen of Maidstone (junior girls), Adam Mytopher of Strasbourg (junior boys), Allison Grajczyk-Jelinski of Vanier in Moose Jaw (senior girls) and Ron MacLean of Sheldon in Regina (senior boys) were this year’s gold medalists.
