George Canyon is bringing the hits, and some friends, along for a cross-country tour with a Prince Albert stop.
The Canadian country star and multiple JUNO Award-winner announced his latest tour, Hit After Hit, Monday. The tour, which also includes Doc Walker and Charlie Major, kicks off on April 18 in Camrose, Alta, and wraps up in Barrie, Ont, on May 25. The tour, which includes more than 30 locations, has five Saskatchewan stops, including the E.A. Rawlinson Centre in Prince Albert on May 14, the Kerry Vickar Centre in Melfort on May 12 and the Coors Event Centre in Saskatoon on May 15.
All ticket sales start on March 8 at 10 a.m.
Canyon started his rise to Canadian country music fame in the early 2000s and has won JUNO, CCMA and ECMA awards along the way. He’s been inducted into the Nova Scotia Country Music Hall of Fame, recorded 12 albums and was recently presented a certified platinum Award for his debut album, One Good Friend.
According to a press release, Canyon is also a humanitarian, strong supporter of the military, proud father and devoted husband.
Doc Walker, meanwhile, has over 20 top ten singles and is one of the most recognized Canadian country acts of the past two decades. The group has won multiple CCMAs and has earned several JUNO nominations, including a 2009 win.
Charlie Major also has three JUNO awards to his name, along with seven CCMAs. He has sold nearly half a million records in Canada alone. Rising to fame in the early-to-mid-nineties, Major has the distinction of six consecutive number one hits, every single release off his debut album.
The powerhouse trio of acts will be joined by Canada’s Manny Blu, who made his debut with the release of ‘X on My Heart’ earlier this year.
Blu is preparing for the release of his premier EP Leave it Like It Is this summer.
