Tyrone Nontell arrested for second-degree murder in death of Tyrell Bird

The man accused in the homicide of 28-year-old Tyrell Bird has been arrested for second-degree murder in his death.

Bird was shot towards the end of June in Prince Albert before being put on life support in a Saskatoon hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on July 2.

Around 6:39 a.m. on Thursday, Nontell was arrested during a traffic stop on the 500 block of 32nd Street West, which is behind South Hill Mall.

The 32-year-old appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Friday answering to this charge.
