PA Predators recognize players’ achievements at yearly awards banquet
The Prince Albert Junior B lacrosse Predators wrapped up their 2017 season on Wednesday night with their annual awards banquet.
Players, coaches, sponsors, volunteers and family members gathered at Kachur’s Golf Club to celebrate the team’s achievements, both as individuals and as a group, one last time.
“This year we were just truly blessed. We had a dedicated group of boys and young men that wanted to play and played hard,” Predators head coach Tyson Fetch said before presenting the awards.
This was Fetch’s first season as coach. He said while it was a challenge to introduce new systems and create a new team atmosphere, those changes were easier to implement with an all-new coaching staff.
“It really was a cohesive group of people and it started with our leadership. There was no divide among them,” Fetch said of his players.
“This year it really did translate well onto the floor. They looked out for each other. They moved the ball well. Even though they were an offensive unit and a defensive unit, they didn’t see that off the floor or even on the floor. They saw each other as a team.”
