P.A. Predators defeat Saskatoon S.W.A.T. 19-9 for first home win

The Prince Albert Predators treated their hometown fans to a goal scoring spectacle on Friday night.

Ashton Hall scored five goals and Ethan Beaulac and Danny Martin each had three-goal nights as Predators defeated the Saskatoon S.W.A.T. 19-9 at the Kinsmen Arena.

It was the first win at home for the Predators, who now even their record to 2-2 on the season.

Hall notched the first goal of the game five minutes into the opening frame and added his second tally of the night seven minutes later to put the Predators up 2-0. Shortly after that Beaulac scored twice in 74 seconds to double the P.A. lead. With a minute to go in the frame, Connor Corrigal made it 5-0 for the home team.

“We did a lot of things right in the first period,” Predators coach Tyson Fetch said.

“We outplayed them offensively and defensively. We kept them out of the house. We kept all their shots to the perimeter. They weren’t able to get any quality shots on us really in the first and I thought we really took it to them in the first.”
