Local musicians hope to raise $1,500 for needed St. Alban’s Cathedral refurbishments

Church fundraisers are music to Ken Lyons’ ears.

Lyons and his group the Menfolk have been playing together for the past 13 years. Over that time they have performed at fundraisers for churches in and around Prince Albert.

Now Lyons is hoping to help his home church, St. Alban’s Cathedral.

A few months ago the leaky roof on St. Alban’s Cathedral hall was repaired and recently the church’s boiler broke down, the drop in temperature forcing the congregation to hold its services in the church hall instead. Lyons is hoping to raise $1,500 to go towards covering the costs of the new roof and boiler.
