The Prince Albert Police Service arrested several people on Thursday afternoon following a firearm incident in 1000 block of 15th Street West.
Police were called just before 1 p.m. for a report of a shooting. A man was located in need of medical attention and was transported to the hospital, with the extent of his injuries not being known as of press time.
Police contained the area around Queen Mary Public School following the incident.
No one in the school was injured during the incident, but the school took extra precautions during the afternoon to ensure the safety of students and staff.
The police service does not believe there are more suspects at large and will be releasing more information once it becomes available.
