Outlaws fall to Saskatoon Brewers and Moose Jaw Chiefs in weekend matches

The Prince Albert Outlaws are still in search of their first win of the season.

The team lost back-to-back matches this weekend, falling 18-3 to the Saskatoon Brewers in Saskatoon on Friday night and losing 14-8 to the Moose Jaw Chiefs at home the following afternoon.

Outlaws player-coach Lawrence Holizki said his team’s game in Saskatoon was a slight improvement over their 19-4 season-opening loss to Brewers on April 21.

“We got better against them but we got killed in the second period,” he said.

“It was not a good game.”

For their second match of the weekend, a 4 p.m. meeting with the Chiefs at the Kinsmen Arena on Saturday, the Outlaws called up affiliated players Jordan McDougall and Brody Low from the P.A. Predators.
