I am opposed to any further government interference in Saskatchewan Rivers Public School Division. The division has a very competent and efficient director of education and school board. It is important to retain the democratically ELECTED LOCAL PUBLIC SCHOOL BOARD that is responsible and accountable to the people they serve and who completely understand the local situation.

The division is too large already, after having two amalgamations forced on them. Enough is enough. With more expensive buses to maintain and operate and a larger area to serve, there are negligible savings. The government did not consider the extra air pollution it has caused in forcing staff to drive greater distances. The effect on the environment should always be considered when making decisions…
