RCMP and the Coroners Office are investigating a fatal two-vehicle head-on collision between a car and a semi roughly 30 km south of La Ronge.

The car was heading north on Highway 2 when it collided with the semi at around 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15.

The lone occupant of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are not releasing the occupant’s name. The driver of the semi was unharmed.

The highway was closed for several hours while a traffic collision analyst investigated.
