Prince Albert Police have laid two charges after an investigation into a disruption at a Prince Albert business late Saturday night.

Police were called to a business on the 200 block of 32nd Street West after reports that a suspect had damaged the store and assaulted an employee. They were able to arrest the suspect near the scene.

A 25-year-old man faces assault with a weapon and mischief charges in connection with the incident.

The case was one of 269 calls for service Prince Albert police dealt with over the weekend, and one of two involving altercations at local businesses.

Police have charged a 26-year-old woman with theft and assault after she allegedly threatened a staff member who tried to evict her from a store on 15th Avenue West. The incident occurred Friday afternoon.
