P.A. man facing firearms charges after Wednesday traffic stop

A 29-year-old man is facing 11 firearms charges in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Thursday after police seized a shotgun and ammunition the evening before.

Around 6:55 p.m. on Wednesday, the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU) conducted a traffic stop in a parking lot on the 1400 block of 10th Avenue East, near Lucky’s Bar & Grill.

The vehicle contained a sawed off shotgun and 15 rounds of ammunition for it.

The CFSEU is a provincial integrated policing task force developed to investigate existing and emerging organized criminal groups.

It has units located in Prince Albert, Regina and Saskatoon.
