A 33-year-old La Ronge man faces second degree murder charges following an investigation into the death of a 52-year-old woman on Sunday, March 31.
Brad Ratt, 33, was remanded into custody and is expected to make his first court appearance on Thursday.
RCMP investigators have identified the woman as Sharon Brown, 52, of the La Ronge District. Brown’s family has been notified and offered support services.
RCMP officers discovered Brown following reports of an injured woman at a residence on the Far Reserve Road in La Ronge at 12:15 a.m. on March 31. She was pronounced dead after EMS arrived on scene.
Saskatchewan Major Crimes took over the investigation after officers determined the death was suspicious.
