ISET raid hauls in handful of weapons

A Thursday night search warrant has taken several guns, knives and some drugs off of the street.

Shortly before 9 p.m. on Feb. 7, the Integrated Street Enforcement Team (ISET) executed a search warrant on a residence in the 800 Block of 15 Street West. After searching the residence and a vehicle associated with the residence, police seized:

  • A sawed-off .22 calibre rifle,
  • A .22 calibre handgun,
  • A loaded sawed-off shotgun,
  • Assorted knives and machetes,
  • A homemade taser,
  • Various ammunition,
  • Drug paraphernalia,
  • 24.4 grams of cocaine and
  • 1.1 grams of methamphetamine.

A 25-year-old Prince Albert woman and a 26-year-old Montreal Lake man are both facing 20 drugs and firearms charges.

A 16-year-old male youth from Montreal Lake is charged with possession of a firearm without a license, obstruction and breach of court order.

All three were due for a first court appearance Friday.

ISET is made up of members from the Prince Albert Police Service and the RCMP.
