RCMP have issued an arrest warrant after being informed this weekend that a man escaped from Willow Cree Healing Lodge.

The lodge is a minimum security federal institution located about six kilometres west of Duck Lake.

Louis Bonneau, 33, was serving his sentence there of three years, two months and 23 days.

This is for possession of a schedule I substance, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of prohibited/restricted firearm with ammunition, possession of weapon for dangerous purposes, fail to comply with conditions of undertaking/recognizance and failure to attend court.

He’s 5’10” in height, weighs 208 pounds, has a medium complexion, brown eyes and brown hair.

At about 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, staff realized his disappearance and the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) immediately contacted Rosthern RCMP.

A news release said the CSC has provided police with information to help arrest Bonneau and is investigating the incident.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact police.
