Former hockey manager’s case adjourned

A former Prince Albert Northern Bears manager accused of sexual exploitation had his case adjourned Wednesday. His court date was rescheduled for Nov. 28 at 1:30 p.m.

Jamie Engen to appear at provincial court Wednesday. He was charged on Oct. 20 and released from the team on Oct. 27. He made his first appearance on Oct. 31.

In a statement issued in October, team president Laura Quesnel said in a statement that the team became aware of an “unfortunate incident” on Oct. 21, and that “appropriate actions were taken.”

The Northern Bears are a Midget AAA girls’ hockey team that plays in the Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League.

Engen is also a former Prince Albert Minor Hockey board member.
