Central Avenue Streetscape survey an opportunity for residents to shape their city

Over the next few weeks, the City of Prince Albert wants to hear from the Prince Albert public about the future of downtown.

City residents are being encouraged to go online to fill out a survey where you can express how you envision a future downtown.

In the near future, Central Avenue will be dug up to replace 110-year-old pipes. This will be a once-in-a-generation opportunity to re-imagine the downtown and rebuild all the streets, curbs and sidewalks on Central. In the last few years, city planners have been gathering ideas from citizens on what they could look like.

By giving careful consideration to the design elements that make up our downtown, the City wants to ensure that we take full advantage of modern downtown streetscape designs, while also giving full consideration to the wishes of Prince Albert’s residents for their downtown.

There is still time to present your ideas by filling out the online Central Avenue Streetscape survey at www.letstalkprincealbert.ca.
