A man has been arrested and charged following a lengthy investigation into the death of a 15-year-old.

Katelyn Marie Noble was last seen back in 2007 in the Radisson area. The town is roughly two hours southwest of Prince Albert.

The investigation spanned across the country from Ontario to British Columbia over 11 years.

On Tuesday, the RCMP Major Crimes Historical Case Unit North arrested and charged Eduard Viktorovit Baranec for first-degree murder in her death and indignity to a human body.

The 41-year-old was at a Federal Prison in B.C., where he is already serving a sentence for a different matter.

He made his first court appearance facing these charges through video on Wednesday morning in Saskatoon Provincial Court.
