Youth charged after armed robbery in Prince Albert

Prince Albert police have charged a 15-year-old following an armed robbery.

Around 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, officers on routine patrol noticed a female and male in a physical confrontation on the 2800 block of First Avenue West.

The male ran away when police approached.

Investigation found that he was stealing the female’s purse with a knife. The victim was not injured, according to police.

Once additional officers arrived in the area, they were able to arrest the male on the 100 block of 28th Street West.

The 15-year-old male has been charged with robbery and breaching court-ordered conditions.
