Student artists to have their work showcased at Kyla Art Show for first time
Prince Albert’s Kyla art group has added a dash of youth to its yearly exhibition.
The 38th edition of the Kyla Art Show and Sale is taking place at the E.A. Rawlinson Centre on Sunday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. For the first time, 13 students from Carlton Comprehensive High School, St. Mary High School, Prince Albert Collegiate Institute, Wesmor Community High School and Christina Thoen’s Gallery and Art School will have their work on display in a special section in the foyer gallery.
“We’re just sort of hoping that it’s kind of a mentoring experience for them,” said founding Kyla member Jack Jensen.
“I would think that it would be quite an experience for them to have their work shown to 500 to 600 people coming to the show.”
