SWAT springs into action for high-risk search

Prince Albert’s SWAT team assisted with a high-risk search Tuesday that turned up weapons, money and drugs.

The search followed an investigation by Prince Albert’s Integrated Street Enforcement Team, which concentrates on gang and drug activity.

Police executed the warrant just after noon at a residence on the 2300 block of 2 Avenue West. They arrested two men and a woman without incident. Inside, they found a shotgun, two rifles, ammunition, $560 in cash, methamphetamine and evidence of drug trafficking, according to a police press release.

The three suspects, a 27-year-old man, a 24-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman from Prince Albert, are facing charges for multiple firearms and drug offences. They were set to appear in provincial court on Wednesday.
