SHA identifies positive COVID-19 case at St. John Community School

The Saskatchewan Health Authority has identified a positive COVID-19 case involving an individual at St. John Community School in Prince Albert.

The SHA notified the Prince Albert Catholic School Division about the case on Jan. 24. The division released a media update on Sunday saying the students and staff impacted by the case have been notified and provided instruction. Further updates will be sent using the Edsby platform.

The division declined to release any other information about the positive case due to privacy concerns.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with this member of our school community,” read the school division’s press release. “We hope they are doing well. We all have a shared responsibility to decrease the risk of COVID-19 entering schools.”

The school division wrote that in-person classes would continue for the rest of the cohort with current safety protocols still in place.
