Sask. Penitentiary inmate dies in custody on Thursday

Saskatchewan Penitentiary inmate Kevin Wolbaum passed away in custody on Thursday.

Walbaum, who was 55 years old, was serving a sentence of three years, nine months and 19 days for robbery and disguise with intent since Dec. 14, 2017.

His next of kin has been notified of his death.

All cases involving the death of an inmate are reviewed by the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC). The CSC policy requires that police and the coroner are notified.
