Police K9 sends suspect to the doghouse

Prince Albert police have successfully apprehended a suspect on several outstanding warrants with the help of Police Service Dog (PSD) Jeb.

Officers spotted the man walking on the 600 block of 13th Street West at about 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

Jeb tracked the suspect down when he started running away. The man was hiding in a doghouse in a home’s backyard on the 500 block of 15th Street West.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court this week.

Break and enter

Police also arrested a 20-year-old man who allegedly broke into a garage on Tuesday.

Officers responded to the complaint at about 3 a.m. on the 500 block of 24th Street West, which is near École St. Anne School.

They apprehended the suspect shortly after he tried running away, soon finding out two other nearby homes also had items taken from them.

Police recovered property such as bikes, tools and chainsaws.
