Police on hunt for man who did not return to P.A. prison

Police on hunt for man who did not return to P.A. prison

Police are on the lookout for Jonathon Wade Benson who failed to return to Prince Albert Correctional Centre and was deemed to be in violation of his temporary absence.

Benson had been on temporary absence from the correctional centre since Jan. 5, and was scheduled to return to custody on Jan. 6 at 6 p.m.

Benson is 6’1″ tall, 161 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He has a cross tattoo on his right arm and three cigarette buns on his left hand.

Benson is serving 182 days (six months) for one charge of common assault and one charge of breach of probation. The Pierceland RCMP detachment has been notified.

Benson is not considered a threat to public safety.
