Police deploy Conducted Energy Device after report of man threatening business

Prince Albert police took an 18-year-old man into custody on Wednesday after a business reported a robbery.

Officers responded to 15th Street and Second Avenue West at about 5:30 a.m. The report said a man inside the building was threatening staff with bear spray.

According to a news release, the suspect refused to follow commands to drop the spray. As a result, police deployed a Conducted Energy Device (CED).

The suspect is charged with one count of robbery.
