Downtown Prince Albert apartment investigation leads to murder charge

Prince Albert police have arrested a 29-year-old man for second-degree murder, marking the city’s third homicide of the year.

At 7:15 a.m. on Friday, police responded to a multi-dwelling unit on the 100 block of 11th Street West for a report of a deceased person. Officers found the body of a 37-year-old man.

The accused turned himself in to police.

A 47-year-old woman was also arrested, but has since been released. Police do not anticipate further arrests.

The suspect will make his first court appearance on Tuesday.
