Police charge two men in relation to weapons investigations

Two men are facing weapons-related charges in relation to previous incidents.

Prince Albert police issued an arrest warrant on Jan. 5 for a 31-year-old after several people reported a man with a gun on the 2600 block of Second Avenue West.

On Jan. 8, officers were attending an unrelated call when they spotted the suspect.

They also recognized a man who is the subject of a separate weapons investigation getting into a vehicle on the 1100 block of 13th Street West around 7:25 p.m.

Officers searched the vehicle, finding a sawed-off rifle and a homemade holster.

A 31-year-old man is facing several weapons-related charges and one count of breaching court orders. A 32-year-old man is also facing firearms-related charges.
