Police asking for assistance locating wanted woman
Police are looking for assistance locating 30-year-old Laura Naytowhow

The RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance locating a woman who ran away from a traffic stop.

On August 27 at about 7 p.m., Waskesiu RCMP conducted a traffic stop on Hwy. 2, two kilometres south of the Waskesiu junction.

During the traffic stop, a woman left the area on foot and was last seen an a trail entering the bush. Waskesiu RCMP members began searching the area with assistance from police dog services and the Saskatoon Police Service Air Support Unit.

A civilian search and rescue team also assisted with the search. The woman was not located. Police believe she may be in the Montreal Lake area travelling to or in Prince Albert.

Police are asking for the public’s help locating Laura Naytowhow, 30, of Montreal Lake. She has long brown hair, brown eyes, some facial acne and was last seen wearing black shorts a pink and red shirt and beige beach shoes. It is likely she has changed her clothing since she was last seen.

There is a warrant out for the arrest of Laura Naytowhow. She is not believed to be a threat to the pubic at this time, but police say she should not be approached.

Anyone who sees Naytowhow is asked to contact their local police service immediately, or dial 911 in an emergency.
