Police have arrested two men in connection with an armed confrontation that occurred at a Prince Albert business on Monday evening.

Members of the Prince Albert Police Service were called to the business, located on the 1500 block of Second Avenue West, after three suspects entered and began causing a disturbance. When asked to leave, one of the suspects threatened staff members with a large knife. The suspects then fled on foot. No staff members were injured.

Patrol officers followed tracks left in the snow to a residence on the 500 block of 18th Street West. They entered the residence and arrested two suspects who matched descriptions given by witnesses.

The suspects are both 23-year-old men from Prince Albert. They are charged with assault with a weapon and made their first court appearance on Feb. 5.
