New COVID-19 cases identified at 3 Sask. Rivers schools and childcare centres

Public health officials have notified the Saskatchewan Rivers Public School Division of individuals testing positive for COVID-19 in three schools and childcare centres.

An individual at Arthur Pechey Childcare tested positive for COVID-19. The childcare centre is closed for deep cleaning and impacts a few students but no staff members.

An individual at Vickers School also tested positive for COVID-19 and there is no impact to students.

St. Louis School has also had an individual test positive for COVID-19. Several classrooms and staff members are impacted.

The school division is informing affected classrooms, connected staff, and cohorts of these cases.

Classes will operate remotely only for students and staff affected while in-person classes will continue for the rest of the school.

Privacy concerns prevent sharing of further details of the cases.
