A 19-year-old man is facing charges of second-degree murder, aggravated assault and sexual assault after a Boxing Day incident north of Prince Albert.

According to a press release from the Prince Albert RCMP, shortly after midnight officers received a report of an injured 17-year-old woman at the Wahpeton health centre. Investigators determined her injuries were the result of an assault and went to a residence in Wahpeton where the assault was alleged to have occurred.
