Mintos sign three local players

The Prince Albert Mintos are beginning the process of building their roster for the upcoming campaign with a trifecta of Prince Albert products.

The Saskatchewan Male Under-18 AAA Hockey League team announced on March 23 that they signed forwards Ashton Tait and Matthew Cudmore for the upcoming season, along with netminder Jayden Kraus.

Tait and Kraus, who are both 14 years of age, will be moving up to the Mintos after spending the last two seasons with the Prince Albert Venice House Pirates Under-15 program.

Tait had 47 points in 32 games for the Pirates, while Kraus put together an 11-5-0-record with a 3.17 goals against average and an .917 save percentage.

Cudmore, who was born in 2005, played in three games for the Prince Albert Lakeland Towing Vulcans Under-18 AA program this past year

He graduated from the Pirates in the spring of 2020 after posting 23 points in 31 games.
