Introducing Charity 2021!

The charity steer project is the Regional 4-H members’ way of giving back to the generous communities that have always supported them. The clubs rotate which members are responsible for raising the steer throughout the 4-H year.

Charity 2021 will make his appearance at PA Regional 4-H Show and Sale on June 13 & 14 at the Prince Albert Exhibition grounds. All proceeds from the sale will go to this year’s charity.

Thank you to JGL Livestock for the donation of the steer , Proveta for the feed and Oleksyn Family & members of the Wild Rose 4-H Beef Club for feeding and caring for the steer during the year. The Charity steer program started back in 2001 with the local 4-H members now having raised over $175,000.00 for local charities through this initiative.

This year Wild Rose 4-H Beef Club members chose the charity to receive the profits from the 2021 Charity Steer. Our club currently has two families personally winning their fight with Cancer. But each and every one of us all know someone who has had or has cancer.

4D CT Simulator for Saskatoon Cancer Center

CT simulators provide each patient’s medical team with the images they need to determine the most effective, efficient and exact radiation treatment plan possible.

The Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan is raising funds to bring 4D CT simulator the Saskatoon Cancer Centre.

The simulator helps with the process of radiation. 5600 people in Saskatchewan are diagnosed with cancer each year and over half need radiation treatment.

The steer will be sold via a live Dutch Auction starting at 2 p.m. on June 14, at our regional 4-H Sale.

Every $20 donation equals one chance to be entered to win the 2021 Charity Steer. Online donations can be made at DLMS Auction at dlms.ca.
