Edmonton police arrested a man accused of two stabbings in Prince Albert and wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.
Phillip Peter Charles was taken into custody on Tuesday and transferred to the Prince Albert Police Service. He appeared in court Wednesday morning and was remanded into custody. A bail hearing is scheduled for Thursday.
The stabbings both occurred on December 29, 2016. In the early morning hours, police responded to a call that a man had been stabbed at a residence. They found him suffering from two stab wounds. Paramedics took him to Victoria Hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
Then, hours later, police responded to another report that a man was stabbed. Again, the victim was sent to hospital, this time with a single stab wound.
At the time, Charles was already wanted Canada-wide for break and enter, mischief and and multiple breaches.
