La Ronge RCMP are asking for any leads after an Indigenous woman believed to be in her 20s was found dead along Highway 102, roughly 8 km north of La Ronge.

The woman was found at roughly 5:30 a.m. on Monday. She was wearing a blue Toronto Blue Jays bunny hug and green sweat pants, and has shoulder-length brown hair with slight red highlights.

The RCMP Major Crimes Section, La Ronge RCMP, and Forensic Identification Section from Prince Albert are all assisting with the investigation.

Highway 102 has been reduced to one lane of traffic while police investigate the scene.
