UPDATE: RCMP officers have arrested a man at a residence in Ahtahkakoop, according to a press release sent out at 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday. There will be a continued police presence in the area as part of a follow-up investigation.
Residents in Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation will see an increased police presence in the community while RCMP officers conduct an ongoing investigation.
Residents have been asked to avoid areas where officers are present, and follow any police direction provided. There is no risk to public safety at this time.
