Prince Albert police have arrested a woman after she allegedly crashed and got stuck on a light pole while driving impaired.

Around 1:13 a.m. on Saturday, officers were dispatched to a business on the 800 block of 15th Street East, which is in the Cornerstone area, for a Reported Impaired Driver (RID).

When they got there, the vehicle was stuck on the raised curb and supporting the light.

The 28-year-old woman was taken to the police station and failed breathalyzer tests.

She’s charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, exceeding .08 and breach of an undertaking to abstain from alcohol and other intoxicants.

She’s since been released from custody and makes her first court appearance in Prince Albert on Tuesday, Oct. 23.

This was one out of 49 arrests the Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) made between Friday night and Monday morning.

They responded to 242 calls for service.

The top two reasons were disturbances, at 28 calls, and intoxicated persons, at 27.
