Human remains have been found near Prince Albert.
According to an RCMP press release sent out late Friday, Prince Albert RCMP discovered the remains Wednesday afternoon while conducting a ground search in a rural area outside of the city
A forensic autopsy needs to be completed to identify the remains and to determine the cause of death.
The autopsy is due to be conducted next week.
The investigation is ongoing.
“We are committed to providing more information as soon as it is available,” the RCMP wrote.
