Highway 2 bridge north of Waskesiu set for replacement

A bridge crossing the Crean River on Hwy. 2 about 36 km north of the Waskesiu junction is slated for replacement.

Tender documents for the project were posted by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure on Wednesday. Bids for the project, a short span bridge replacement, are due by Oct. 31.

A Google Street View image of the bridge from 2009 shows cracks and patched potholes forming over the short span.

The river, classified by some sites online as a stream, flows between Crean Lake and Montreal Lake.
