Former hockey manager pleads not guilty

A former hockey manager accused of sexual exploitation has pleaded not guilty.

Jamie Engen made a brief court appearance, surrounded by family, at the provincial courthouse Thursday.

His next court appearance is set for Feb. 28 at 9:30 a.m.

He was charged on Oct. 20 and released from his duties with the Prince Albert Northern Bears on Oct. 27. He made his first appearance on Oct. 31.

The Northern Bears are a Midget AAA girls’ hockey team that plays in the Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League.

Engen is also a former Prince Albert Minor Hockey board member.
