Five men have been arrested after police received a complaint that four men had threatened and assaulted another at a residence on Little Red River Reserve.

The RCMP said that four individuals entered the residence, with at least one armed with a weapon. They then allegedly assaulted and threatened the victim before leaving the residence in a vehicle.

Officers from the Prince Albert and Waskesiu RCMP detachments, Prince Albert Police Dog Services, Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan and the Emergency Response Team responded. They tracked the vehicle to a rural property near Fortsburg Road and Highway 3555, northwest of Prince Albert and between Sturgeon Lake and Spruce Home.

Police warned Thursday of an ongoing incident in the area.

According to a press release Friday, five men were arrested. The investigation is ongoing.
