A week after playing to a 27-27 tie in the Canadian Tire Classic, the Carlton Crusaders and the St. Mary Marauders will be squaring off once again.

The local sides will take to Max Clunie Field at 6:30 p.m. Thursday for a seeding contest that will help determine which Saskatoon Secondary Schools Athletic Directorate playoff bracket they will end up in.

The winner of Thursday’s game will earn the fourth seed in the Tier II playoffs and will play the Walter Murray Marauders in a semifinal game next week.

Meanwhile, the losing side will play the Bedford Road Redhawks next week in a Tier III playoff game that will also serve as their season finale.

The Crusaders and the Marauders enter this Thursday’s contest with identical 1-4-1 records.

Carlton’s lone win came in a 47-14 contest with the E.D. Feehan Trojans on Oct. 3, while St. Mary picked up their only victory of the season to date on Sept. 26 with a 34-0 shutout of the Mount Royal Mustangs.
