Update, April 24, 12:30 p.m.: Last night crews were able to contain the wildfire and it is currently listed as ‘contained’ at eight hectares.
The highway has been re-opened.

Fire crews are fighting a wildfire that is about 8 hectares in size and burning near Holbein, Sask.
The Ministry of Environment received a report about a fire in the ditch along Highway 3, just northeast of Holbein, at 4:18 p.m. A ministry initial attack crew and both the Shellbrook and Buckland fire departments responded to the scene.
The fire is burning both north and south of the highway. Motorists are advised to avoid the area. RCMP was on the scene, diverting traffic.
There are structures in the area, but none are threatened at this time.
In addition to fire crews, emergency management and fire safety personnel are on scene.
Holbein was the site of a large wildfire that led to some evacuations in 2018.
