COVID-19 vaccine clinics in the north central area are now full after the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) announced earlier today that seniors over 70 could book an appointment to receive their vaccine.
Clinics in the following communities are full: Wakaw, Cudworth, Rosthern, Big River, Canwood, Shellbrook, Birch Hills, Debden, Blaine Lake, Candle Lake, and Christopher Lake.
“Staff at these locations will not be taking new appointments until another shipment of the vaccine becomes available,” a SHA statement read.
COVID-19 vaccine available for people 70 and over in north central communities
People aged 70 and older in north central communities can now book an appointment to receive the COVID-19 (Pfizer BioNTech) vaccine, according to a press release sent by the Saskatchewan Health Authority.
Anyone who is living in the north central area and is over 70-years-old is urged to call the below numbers to book their appointment.
People wanting the vaccine must call ahead first to speak to staff to ensure they meet the criteria.
“The recent weather in southern parts of the province has certainly made transportation challenging, if not impossible in some locations. Please take this into account when booking your appointment.”
Appointment availability is dependant on vaccine supply.
