Prince Albert police seized 1,380 grams of marijuana on Dec. 20, along with $12,600 in cash and a pair of brass knuckles.

Police seized 1,380 grams of marijuana on Tuesday, in a bust that also found $12,600 in cash.

The operation stemmed from a joint investigation involving two specialized teams, both of which include members the RCMP and the Prince Albert Police Service. On Tuesday, officers searched a residence on the 1300 block of 4th Street East. In addition to the weed and the cash, they found 43 grams of cannabis resin and five marijuana plants. They also found a pair of brass knuckles.

Police look for tagging suspects

The Prince Albert Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance identifying suspects from camera footage who are wanted for spray painting several locations in the city.

The police obtained camera footage of what appears to be one, possibly two, suspects involved in spray painting incidents on November 15, 2016.

In the incident footage around 11:48 p.m. it appears to show a suspect spray painting a railway power box and in the background a second possible suspect appears to be walking away from a business on 3rd Avenue West that was also spray painted.

The suspect is described as a slender male, with shaggy brown hair, dark pants, dark jacket with a lighter coloured emblem on the left breast of the jacket and left sleeve near the wrist.

The shoes were light coloured with the soles lighter than the shoes.

Police seize shotgun

At about 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Prince Albert Police Service officers were conducting routine patrol checks around Central Avenue and 10th Street. When, while patrolling a back alley, police identified a suspicious black Dodge Nitro with people inside and the lights off.

Officers approached the vehicle and talked to the occupants. They saw a shotgun inside and arrested all three occupants.

Cocaine, meth seized in traffic stop

Police have arrested and charged a 40-year-old resident after allegedly finding methamphetamine on him during a traffic stop.

The suspect was seen in the vehicle, and observed breaching court orders. Further investigation led police to a rural property near Prince Albert where they found about 20 individually-wrapped one once packages of cocaine.

About 600 grams of cocaine with a street value of about $30,000, 6.2 grams of methamphetamine with a street value of about $600 and $565 in cash was seized.
