The brother of a man who went missing over four years ago is once again coming forward hoping that someone, somewhere, knows what happened.
Timothy Charlette was last seen on the train bridge on Oct. 8, 2014, at dusk, wearing a camouflage ball cap, jeans and a dark jacket. He was 27.
Charlette was in the company of Beatrice Adam, 36, who was found dead in the North Saskatchewan River on Oct. 12.
The Charlette family has held multiple walks and ceremonies to remember their loved one. The walks concluded at the train bridge, the last place Charlette was seen alive.
Charlette’s sister, Colleen Whitedeer, also led a walk of her own, travelling to Regina to call for the inclusion of missing and murdered Indigenous men in the discussion of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls.
While the family isn’t considering any more walks at this time, Timothy’s brother, Robert, is pleading for answers.
“My brother’s been gone for four years. My mom is really grieving. I’m still going through grief, and I have dreams about him,” Robert said.
“I need answers. We just need to find my brother.”
Robert Charlette said one of the things that make it so hard for him is that he looks like his brother — so much so that people call him Timothy.
“It hurts,” he said. “I’m not Timothy, I’m Robert.”
The Prince Albert Police Service still has an open file on Timothy Charlette. He’s listed on their website under missing persons cases. The case type is listed as “current.”
Whatever happened to his brother, Robert wants to find him, he said — even if it’s just his remains.
“We need closure.”
